JOB OPENING at B-T Aquatics

 

 

Assistant to the Aquatics Director

 

Brownell-Talbot School is looking for a hardworking, reliable, outgoing, energetic individual for our busy, fun, and growing Aquatics Department. The position is a full-time Assistant to the Aquatics Director.  Applicants must exhibit excellent communication, administrative, and customer service skills and the ability to perform pool maintenance/cleaning tasks with a smile.

 

The successful candidate will be active in the daily facility operations and perform both clerical duties for the aquatics department such as answering phones and email inquiries, handling mail, processing swimming lessons and swim meet registrations, ordering and receiving office, pool, and Pro Shop supplies, scheduling and payroll processing, and front desk patron assistance, as well as cleaning and maintenance functions such as hosing the deck, cleaning locker rooms, monitoring pool chemicals, and various duties to maintain a clean and safe facility.

 

Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM.  Occasional weekend hours for special events may be required.

 

Requirements: 

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

·        Willingness to earn Nebraska Certified Pool Operator certificate.

·        Preferred candidate will have some previous supervisory experience.

·        Ability to work as a member of the B-T Aquatics team and provide a high level of customer service is essential.

·        Meet the physical requirements of the job as listed below:

 

While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to chemically treated water and a variety of cleaning supplies.  The employee must be able to lift or move  equipment/chemicals up to 50 pounds unassisted.  Duties require a full range of physical motion and activities including standing for extended periods of time, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching and lifting.
