SEA SPLASH EVENTS
Open Water Swimming
in the Pool!
Sea Splash events are open to the
general public. Everyone is invited. No experience necessary, and you do not need to be
a member of a swim team or of B-T Aquatics to participate. Register online or print
out an entry form. Midwestern / USA Swimming registered swimmers
are welcome. This meets are not sanctioned by USA Swimming or
United States Masters Swimming.
They are developmental meets, and we follow our own rules to provide an
optimum competitive experience for swimmers.
Sea Splash events simulate an
Open Water swimming experience. The lane ropes are taken out
of the pool and buoys are used to mark the course. It's great
fun!

The entry deadline is
the Friday before
each Sea Splash.
Times:
Warm-up
5:00 PM
Meet Start 5:30 PM (Except for the February Sea Splash which is 6 PM.)
Entry Fee:
$6 per swimmer - includes pizza and soda after the event.
Everyone gets awards for every event completed. Awards will be prepared
during the pizza party and distributed as soon as they are ready.

Volunteers: We need timers and pizza servers at every Sea Splash
Event. Please volunteer your time. No experience is necessary
to be a timer, and it's the best seat in house - certainly the coolest.

SEA SPLASH EVENTS - Entry Limit:
2 events per swimmer
1 Lap = approximately 50 yards
Sea Sprint Event: 250 Yards (5 laps)
Seafarer Event: 500 Yards (10 laps)
Sea Dog Event: 1000 Yards (20 laps)
Sea Serpent Event: "Mile" (35 Laps - It's pretty close.)
When choosing your events, please consider that
events are swum in the order listed.
There is no rest break between events.
There is a ten-minute Open Water Swim Clinic
presented
the last ten minutes of warm-up for each meet.
