LEARN TO S.W.I.M.

  1. Proven Face-Up First method:  This is the safest and most efficient way to learn to swim.

  2. Ideal swimmer to coach ratios:  Scheduled for the most effective work : rest : play ratios possible.

  3. Convenient No-Level scheduling:  Swim with friends, car-pool mates, and siblings regardless of age or ability level.

FACE-UP FIRST® Method:  Achieving aquatic balance is the key to both safety and fast swimming.  FACE-UP FIRST® coaches focus on helping infants, toddlers, children, and adults achieve relaxed, balanced, face-up comfort in the water.  Once this is achieved we move on to more advanced competitive swimming stroke techniques.  This is the easiest and most efficient way to learn and way to swim.  Swimmers learn first to attain a relaxed, balanced floating position and then add propulsive movement.  We teach that arm, hand, and leg movements are used to propel the body through the water, not to keep the body at the surface.   "Be still and float first."   Learn more about the FUF Method & our S.W.I.M. Model.

Ideal Swimmer to Coach Ratios:

  • 1:1 for swimmers under three years of age  (Infant & Toddler Program)

  • 3:1 for swimmers three and older  (Child & Adult Program)

  • 6:1 for the Competitive Program  (Competitive Program)

Convenient No-Level Scheduling:  We have three programs: Infants & Toddlers, Children & Adults, and the Competitive Program.  Within those programs, there are no levels such as you might find with other programs.  We’ve found that by maintaining the ideal coach to swimmer ratios for each program we are able to offer individualized instruction without grouping students by ability level or age.

This is convenient and economical for both the Swim School and for our patrons.  Patrons need only choose a time slot.  They are free to register siblings, carpool members, and friends together.  They are not required to adjust their schedule to accommodate a “level class” that is offered at certain times during the week. Time slots are open to everyone allowing all the classes to fill.
