MATES
The mission of the MATES Program is to provide encouragement and training to help swimmers attain, first, face-up comfort and lifesaving endurance in the water, and subsequently, advanced swimming techniques and skills.

 

Prerequisites: 

  • Minimum age 3

  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn how to swim.

  • Demonstrates the ability to take turns and wait on the tot dock.

  • Mates are required to wear cap and goggles for each practice.

Contact Coach Neal if you have questions about starting your child in swimming. 

 

Structure:

  • Mates practices are thirty minutes long.  (If there is only one Mate in a class, the class will be twenty-minutes.)

  • Coach to Swimmer Ratio is 1:3.

  • Swimmers may choose to participate only once per week up to as many as six times per week.
